Idea Five: app that allows parents to correct the grammar of their children's texts

I suppose this could be used on anyone's texts, but let's be honest, if you start policing the grammar of your friends or colleagues texts, you're not going to be their friend or colleague for long.
Why does grammar matter? I appreciate for some people, the question is moot. Grammar is meaningless and all that really matters is meaning. So if my child text's me and says "our teacher is absent so were just watching a movie" I know what he means. Why does it matter whether or not he uses an apostrophe? For me, I think there's value in taking the extra time to acknowledge the details in language. There are certainly a few instances in which an oxford comma or a split infinitive may make the difference in meaning or understanding, but those are the exceptions. But I also know that the people in power, who will make decisions about my child's life, will be using a certain set of rules and I want him to be able to play that game when he needs to.
So the app would allow you to tap and hold their text to you, and then you can highlight a section, add the corrected version, and it'll appear to them like a reply.
